NY Central
Sometimes, taking a break from something leads you to something right under your nose. I was walking along the shores of the Hudson River with my camera to see what, if anything, might catch my eye. Nothing was doing so that day. I sat down to take a rest and think about where I would like to go next, and my gaze fell upon the tableau right at my feet. That the light accentuated the angles of the stone was pleasing to my hyper-organized sensibility in which I like separation and clean lines. That it bore the mark of the NY Central railroad made me think that this was a microcosm of a typical Manhattan skyline; Towers with clean lines and sunlight glancing off their smooth surfaces creating a mix of shadows and light on the streets below.
