North Truro Air Force Station 1 of 6
Built in 1951 at the start of the Cold War, the North Truro Air Force Station was a 110-acre military training and living space. The base was decommissioned in 1985, however, many of the buildings have been deemed too hazardous to repurpose or even to demolish due to asbestos and other scary chemicals. They stand there, abandoned and frozen in time.
